Pay by Link Flow & Status

This section explains the Pay by Link process from creation to completion and outlines the statuses for tracking progress.

Pay by Link Flow

The flow diagram below shows that a transaction starts as Active. The transaction then either progresses through successful stages as In Progress and Completed or encounters issues as Expired or Cancelled.

After a successful payment, a Pay by Link record changes to In Progress (if it allows multiple payments) or to Completed.
If the maximum number of successful payments is reached, it changes to Completed.
If the Pay by Link record has a successful payment and the Link expiry date is reached, it becomes Completed. If no successful payments are made by the Link expiry date, it becomes Expired.
If a payment link is cancelled, it changes to Completed if it has at least one successful payment or to Cancelled if no successful payments exist.

Pay by Link Status

Pay by Link statuses are shown on both the main page and details pages, allowing you to see the current state of any payment link quickly. Below are all Pay by Link statuses in the Planet Portal.

Status	Description
Active	The payment link is live and customers can make payments.
Cancelled	The payment link has been cancelled by the merchant. No further payments can be made.
Completed	The link has received all allowed payments or expired after at least one successful payment.
Expired	The link expired without any successful payments.
In Progress	A payment is being processed, and the link remains active for more payments.
