Terminals
Beta Feature! 👀
This functionality is currently in beta testing. Access will be rolled out gradually, and not all merchants may see this feature immediately. Availability may change as we continue to test and improve the experience.
Terminals shows all POS devices linked to your merchant account.
From this page, you can search, filter, and manage your terminals. Select a terminal to open its details page, where you can view device information, activity, and available actions.
Terminal actions
Available actions depend on the terminal status.
From the terminal details page, you can:
- View transactions processed by the terminal
- Edit the device name
- Add or manage tags
- Unbind the terminal
Unbinding terminals
Unbinding removes the link between the terminal ID and the physical device. Once an Unbinding request is made, the terminal continues to process transactions until the request is completed.
Once completed:
- The terminal status changes to Unbound
- Some details may show as N/A
- The device can be reassigned or replaced
Unbind a terminal
- Open the terminal details page
- Click
Unbind - Confirm the action
Some actions may be unavailable while the request is in progress. After the update, the terminal shows the status Unbound. Some details, such as brand or model, may show as N/A because the terminal is no longer linked.
View past transactions
You can still view past transactions after unbinding.
Click View transactions View transactionsto open the Transactions page filtered by that terminal.
Bind a terminal
Binding is done on the physical device. To bind a terminal, connect the device and assign the correct Terminal ID in the terminal application.
Contact Planet Support if you need help.
